Girls Inc. ASC & Debate Club
The Strong Girls After School Program at Girls Inc. of Greater Miami offers a free, dynamic, and supportive space where girls grow to be strong, smart, and bold. Held on-site at participating schools from dismissal until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, the program combines academic support with hands-on enrichment. Girls engage in activities like STEM (Algo-Rhythms), life skills, art and fashion through ArtSpark, and our Homework Club—nurturing curiosity, confidence, and creativity every day.
Program Activities
- Physical Activity & Healthy Living: Participants stay active and energized through movement-based games and wellness lessons that promote healthy habits and a strong sense of self.
- Academic Support: Participants get personalized homework help and use their Girls Inc. Planners to track assignments, set goals, and stay accountable.
- Life Skills & STEM & ART: Through fun and engaging activities, participants develop resilience, emotional awareness, and the tools to navigate real-life situations with courage.
- Residents of Miami-Dade County
- Girls in 2nd – 5th grade in the 2025-2026 school year
- Must attend one of the following schools: HIVE Prep, Beacon College Prep, KIPP Miami, Santa Clara, or Pine Lake

Compass360 is the secure platform we use to collect applications, track enrollment, and communicate with families. To apply for Girls Inc. of Greater Miami’s after school program, you’ll follow three simple steps:
- Create a Parent Portal account or log in
- Select a membership type
- Choose your child’s program
After submitting, our team will review your application.Please note: registration does not guarantee enrollment. If a program is full, your child may be placed on a waitlist. We’ll notify you of your child’s status as soon as possible.
Bold Voices: Speech and Debate
Bold Voices is a Speech and Debate Club for girls in 6th – 8th grade that empowers young voices by providing the opportunity to hone speaking and argumentation skills. Through engaging activities, debates, and public speaking challenges, participants develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and the courage to speak up for the issues they care about most.Bold Voices is designed with these benefits in mind:
- Confidence: Gain the confidence to speak in public and express your ideas clearly.
- Critical Thinking: Analyze complex issues and think on your feet.
- Leadership: Lead discussions and present creative ideas and solutions confidently.
- Academic Success: Enhance valuable skills that help reading, writing, and listening.
Bold Voices is currently offered at the following schools, after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays or an hour and a half starting on September 23rd.
